So i put the charcoal cartridge filter in the tank which ment for water purification and the water is now crystal clear. Napoleon does not seem to mind the filter being there but doesnt swim around it or close to it. After a week of feeding him just the tropical fish flakes i changed his diet back to the tubiflex but he took a while to eat it because he just looked at it for a while. There are still bubbles floating at the top of the tank like always but just fewer than before. The smell of the water has a soily stinch to it aswell.
